Considering that [Pauline] Christianity was invented by a Roman police agent and grew among the Roman elite into the dominant--and exclusive-- ideology of the Empire's rulers, I see no reason why nonsense about "Christianity as a revolutionary force" should receive any attention at all. Every revolution that allowed itself to become contaminated by Christianity has failed, in large part for that very reason (cf. Robespierre's violent repression of the "deChristianizers" and Cromwell's of the Diggers).
