[lbo-talk] bipartisanship: the view from the other side

Shag calls the bipartisan move in the Congress a confidence game. I could  
not agree more. Since the Republicans are unlikely to even credit Congressional  
efforts at crafting a bipartisan bill and very likely to attack and vote 
against  whatever emerges from the bipartisan talks, I see the effort as wasted  
time.
