two notes:
1. the SFtP list already has some pretty hardcore evolutionary psychology supporters on it (meaning they post every NY times article showing how voting behavior is genetically determined)---though equally well represented are those who dis these sorts of studies (which do get NSF funding).
thAT list also has 911-truthers, AIDS deniers, and people who believe science and evolutionary theory essentially support the literal interpretation of the bible.
so, if you want critical, reasoned discussion on topics like this one, that would be the place to go.
2. i don't know of this book, but it sounds to me like
a) she really doesn't support evolutionary psychology of the (brain dead) cosimides/tooby/minnesota twins study/etc. type. (i can't remember the rest of them---david barash, perhaps. One of their journal routinely prints these very far right people who talk about why human nature cannot really support democracy, so instead people should be led by the people who write for that journal).
b) if she is anti-pinker, anti-'language instinct', and pro-group selection, then she is in the mainstream (at least of people who aren't dinosaurs). the social aspects of communication really are where its at.
