EP is a pretty specific research program. Does not being a bird entail massive modularity, psychological fixity at the Neolithic, panadaptationism, the epistemic validity of a bunch of specific ways of find transhistoric truths about humanity, &c?
Evolutionary psychology isn't the claim that psyches are the product of evolution any more than historical materialism is the claim that matter has a history.
