It's worth noting that university is the first educational institution Jews are likely to share with Palestinians, since the public educational system is completely segregated: one department for Arabs, and another for Jews. (Actually, two for Jews, one secular one religious.) The Palestinian branch is underfunded, of course. On the other hand, most Israeli towns are either Jewish or Palestinian, so the schools would likely be segregated in most (but not all) places anyway.
