An Ingush-Chechen war would be very bad. Incidentally, the Chechen police are almost to a man former anti-Russian fighters.
It's a couple of weeks old, but I can translate a Russkii Newsweek article on the asassination attempt if you want and you give me a couple of days. (Part of the article anyway -- I'm not going to translate the whole thing.)
