It is impressive, indeed, but not perhaps for the reason you mean.
In Iran -- unlike in the modern, enlightened United States -- you don't have to vote at the location where you are registered. You can vote anywhere you happen to be.
Quaint, huh? This may be partly due to the fact that Iran doesn't have an enlightened, modern Electoral College.
