Roger Cohen of the NYT is being more stalwart than any headline NYT columnist I can remember in attacking the received AIPAC line. Last week he belittled the idea of Iranian anti-semitism:

He's a liberal, but he deserves support. Write a short email to the ombudsmen if you're that sort of person and you have a chance.
BTW, Roger Cohen of the NYT should not be confused with Richard Cohen of the WaPo, who has never met an AIPAC press release he didn't crib from.
It's actually very funny for critics to be lecturing Roger Cohen on Germany, since unlike them, he actually speaks fluent German and wrote very insightfully about contemporary German cultural currents when he was bureau chief in Berlin.
