The first couple of things they could have gotten from Lyndon Johnson. Johnson also used the FBI to spy on the civil rights and antiwar movements. He certainly expanded executive powers. Chile was not a big concern at the time. However, Johnson provided backing to Frei in order to hold off Allende. Johnson couldn't provide for the destruction of OEO, since his Administration created it, but as should be apparent, the policy differences between Johnson and Nixon weren't all that great and both presidents were a good deal more progressive than most of their successors on a lot of issues.
