Eh, wasn't it because of the war that the capitalist economy was able to
emerge with a sufficient base to grow? I mean on the one hand you had the
Marshall Plan and its related branches and on the other you had a British
Labour government which was essentially pushing for post-war socialism qua
Keynesian spending through appeal to the collective mentality built up
during the war/blitz?
That's not even to mention the usage of the post-fascist structures in
Germany and Japan to suppress wages/labour in order to generate profit.
