Well, my SO just today brought home the newest edition of "Beekeeping for Dummies". We've kept bees for years and she also kept them long before we met so it is unlikely there is anything in the book we/she don't already know. She likes beekeeping books and books in general so it doesn't seem such an odd purchase. I guess that's one "who the fuck would buy" a Dummies guide. In the thousands of books in our house what's one more?
