The SLA slogan was . . . well, different:

"In a sign of those turbulent times, the group adopted a seven-headed snake as its symbol and the slogan "Death to the fascist insect that preys upon the life of the people."

Do insects "prey" upon humans, in the biological sense, even black-shirted insects? I Initially thought the seven-headed snake was representative of the "The Many-Headed Hydra," but apparently not:

"His seven-headed S.L.A. cobra <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cobra> symbol was based on seven principles, with each head representing a principle. They are: Umoja (Unity), Kujichagulia (self-determination), Ujima (collective work and responsibility), Ujamaa (cooperative economics), Nia (purpose), Kuumba (creativity) and Imani (faith). The appearance of the symbol of the seven-headed cobra <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cobra>[2]<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Symbionese_Liberation_Army#cite_note-SLAFanClub-1>on S.L.A. propaganda indicates that it was copied from the ancient Sri Lankan <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sri_Lanka> / Indian seven-headed nāga<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/N%C4%81ga>; carved stones depicting a seven-headed cobra are commonly found near the sluices of the ancient irrigation tanks <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tank>in Sri Lanka and these are believed to have been placed there as guardians of the water."
