************************* True. Indvidual workers also depend solidarity as well--that's where their power lies as a class. Union bureaucracies also depend heavily on dues. Workers don't need highly paid bureaucrats to 'discipline' them; but that's what they get with business unionism: the acceptance of the reified 'invisible hands' of the marketplace for commodities summed up in the class collaborationist catchphrase, "a fair day's wage for a fair day's work".
