And if we had had preventive detention at the time of the OJ trial, then he could have been put behind bars without being able to bamboozle a jury. Justice would unquestionably have been served.
It seems quite consistent to disapprove of "victors' justice" as a practice, even though some of the time it ends up putting bad people away.
