Argument in a nutshell:

1) The generally bruited (and increasingly horribly comical) drop dead date is for global emissions in 2020 to be minimum 25% below what they were in 1990;

2) It's 2010 and we've done squat, so that translates into cutting power plant emissions by 50% from current levels in 10 years;

3) Not a single reactor is currently under construction in the US;

4) On past form, not a single one would come online before 10 years are up even if we went flat out starting tomorrow.
