do you think you have to be conversant with theory in order to critique theory? should you actually read a book in order to criticize it? it's the internet man. no need to read the book to have an opinion on it, no need to have some knowledge of a body of theoretical work in order to critique, no need to have any familiarity with a tradition of scholarly research in order to speak confidently about its ills, no need to actually be familiar with the BLS in order to write it off as the domain of hackdom, and obviously NO need to be familiar with, perhaps even steeped in, a tradition of activism in order to speak confidently as to what is right and wrong with activists and activism.
