*>Hah, there is so much wrong with Hardt and Negri it's not even funny. I'll
probably give *Commonwealth *a read later this >month anyway though just to
give them a review indepth. When I was a college freshmen I had a professor
give me a copy of >*Multitude* and tell me that combined with *Empire *it
was like a manifesto for the 21st century and would put my old arcane >left
tendencies to rest. *
Interesting, then, that the review should say:
*>Messrs. Hardt and Negri make little effort to build arguments in support
of their wild assertions and predictions. They write as >if ignorant of the
20th century and of much else, including economics and social science. (They
still quote Lenin and Mao as if >they were sources of wise political and
economic analysis.)*
If the WSJ thinks the book is "evil," maybe it's worth rethinking the
knee-jerk anti-"pomo" positions?
(I don't know what to make of the odd implication that Lenin and Mao are not
part of the 20th century...)
