Chris Doss -----

Capitalism is a world system , no ? And capitalism today is "caused" by the history of capitalism. So, without the long history of White supremacist colonialism, slavery and imperialism in Asia , no capitalism in Europe , America or Asia (See Marx on colonialism and slavery as the chief momenta of the primitive accumulation of capital _in Europe_). Capitalism _in Europe_ needed White supremacy _in Asia_.

That's the past. This is the present. This is like arguing that because my remote ancestors were required to run away from dinosaurs, and this running away from dinosaurs created traits that eventually resulted in me, I also have to run away from dinosaurs.

^^^^ CB: Past is prologue. It's not so fare past that it doesn't majorly cause and shape the present.

The Russian language developed, when 1000 years ago ? 500 ? That past is majorly causing and influencing the present in Russia.

Actually, we do have many mammalian traits still, like mammory glands, warm bloodedness, that very much shape our current biological makeup, but my argument is not like arguing as you say concerning mammals and dinosaurs. I won't spend the time "deconstructing" your poor logic on that.

More recently, the White supremacist, imperialist, neo-colonialist Korean and Viet Nam/Southeast Asian wars ( against "gooks" and peoples who allegedly "value human life less than we do" , et al. ) were necessary to prevent the overthrow of capitalism in Asia.

--

Vietnam has not overthrown capitalism, but is getting more capitalist. North Korea isn't doing very well.

^^^^^ CB: I said the US war prevented the overthrow of capitalism in Asia , meaning to includ Viet Nam. To say that there was a prevention of the overthrow of capitalism in Viet Nam is logically the same as saying "Viet nam has not overthrown capitalism.

I'd say Viet Nam would not have had to take on so much capitalism if so many guns had not been pointed at its "head". Same with Russia and China.

Currently , American troops stationed or occupying nations throughout Asia are necessary to prevent the economic independence of many of them from the imperialist system. No US troops all over Asia, no Asian meltdown enforced on behalf of international finance in 1998, for example.

--

I do not believe there are any Asian countries outside NK that are trying to move away from capitalism

^^^^^ CB: Not now , no, after huge genocidal wars against those that did, with occupying troops all over the place to remind everybody what will happen if they do. If China , Korea, and Viet Nam had been left to choose their system without gigantic military coercion, every place there would probably be much different than it is.
