Conservatives use liberal playbook...

------

Well, nonsense. I've been thinking about this a lot.

First the entire sweep of rightwing noise has a very orchestrated sound to it, as in planned and programmed from above with money.

I posted a speech by Newt Gingrich from August. In his speech he basically outlined the general idea. Big government has been taken over by Un_Americans. They are not people like us, so we have to Take Back America.

Who are these UnAmericans? You can't say n-words, chinks, spics, broads, queers. So you have to encode the meaning and hate of those words into new words. These people are racist, sexist, homophobic to the core.

There is money behind this noise, and I suspect quite a lot, and closely linked up with the GOP. There is nothing about this shit that is spontaneous or from the ground up. The right has been trying quite awhile to kill ACORN. Here's ACORN's home page to see why:

http://www.acorn.org/

(If you don't click, what you see are mostly black and latino women in the various program photos. Most help with foreclosures, voter registration, and work with the US Census.)

There's a nice photo op of John Boehner with Darrell Issa at the announcement for the big House victory to kill ACORN.

For people outside California, Issa is a rich guy from SoCal who helped fund the recall of Gray Davis. Issa was too rightwing to win governor, so they recruited Arnold with money help from some of the Tom DeLay, Dick Army crowd. The same people a couple of years earlier had pumped money into de-regulation of the California public utility system, which after de-regulation lead to the loss of millions to Eron et al, and threatened to de-stabilize the California state budget. The premise of the recall was mis-management by Davis.

Issa first made his name with some proposition about English as the state language taught in public education, then a bunch of anti-immigrant initiatives, and is probably wrapped up with the gun toting vigilantes on the Mexican border. I think these `concerned' citizens have either joined or been replaced by Blackwater contractors through the US Border Patrol and the DEA

Follow the behind the scenes of these `protesters.' Where you find O'Keefe's earlier projects were aimed at Planned Parenthood. So there's the connection to rightwing christian fundies and funding. That O'Keefe showed up from back east to the San Bernadino-San Diego area is no accident. That is Issa's congressional district, where the war between the low income black and latino groups fight it out daily with the rightwing richer white suburbs. O'Keefe bragged he paid his own plane ticket from back east to California. Maybe. Somebody might want to check on that.

The Take Back America conference is specifically aimed at teaching the absurd talking points and how to do these kinds of street level attacks to generate news and keep the right alive.

Go to Take Back America's web page Where they announce Joe the Plumber, Mike Huckabee, and reps, Michele Bachmann, Tom McClintock, Steve King, Tom Price as speakers and workshop leaders. This doesn't like sound like Saul Alinsky organizing to me.

The schedule outlines the whole trip. They might have to re-work the Saturday morning workshop, ``How to deal with vote fraud, the Census, and ACORN'' Okay nobody went there to read this shit, so I'll post it.
