Parts of it, sure. It's a recipe for disaster, because you end up signing off on terrible legislation that screws the voters which elected you, spawning a Rightwing backlash which makes the problems worse. But the solution isn't a return to sectarian purity or authoritarian mass organizations. The only way out is to build democratic and transnational solidarities, on all levels of society -- economic, cultural, political, etc.
I'm dreaming out loud here, but my ideal party would be some mutant amalgamation of the Pirate Party, Italian autonomists, developmental state civil servants, digital/videogame commonistas, and South Asia's feisty social movements. Imagine the impossible!
