[lbo-talk] The Obsession With Like Minded "others": Any ideas?

Hi Everyone

I have noticed a trend, over many years in South Africa and here, today, in the 
US, where
the (tend to) Right grab hold of "others", like Michelle Malkin, Fareed Zakaria, 
Ayan Hersi, and 

a) glorify their work and ideas
b) present them as outstanding intellectuals, people of stature etc
c) claim some type of righteousness, authority, non-racialism etc 
on the because they have dark-skinned others who agree with them.

I realise, of course, that these are observable statements (of truth/fact), but 
does anyone 
know of anything substantive that has been written about this.
