Yes. I disagree with Harvey, but it is an important book. Both analyses more or less preclude the old theories of "inevitabler inter-imperialist war" _without_ taking the Kautskyan political conclusions from this. Wood's last chapter ("Endless War") offers an explanation which I find persuasive of why (a) the U.S. should continually launch wars without itself or u.s. capital having _unique_ interests in the results. And this same argument explains why, whatever the abrasdions, other capitalist powers (including China) should not move to block such u.s. adventures.
