I can't cover it with anything, except symbols of gloom. About the only hope that I see is an appointment during a recess. I noticed that Obama tends to drag his feet when there is a clear liberal choice to make. He has to study the issue... So, foot dragging seems like a bad sign. I think he is looking for somebody like Kagan, somebody with no past. The other possibility is just waiting to see how the election turns out.
