I know it is an article of faith of all liberals that all DP presidents are cowardly cretins. But this touching faith in their actual intentions is truly bizarre.
Obama certainly knows this. I'm becoming more and more convinced of my original hypothesis: Obama aimed at something like the actual results. He got what he wanted.
The hypothesis that anyone on this list knows more about winning political battles than Obama or Clinton or Carter or LBJ or Kennedy or FDR -- all of whom miserably failed to achieve what their admirers thought they aimed at -- that assumption is simply absurd.
