One of the most memorable concerts I've seen, of any kind of music, was the Magic Band's 1970 appearance after the release of "Lick My Decals Off" at a tiny 300-seat movie theater in Alexandria, Virginia. Arthur Dyre Tripp had joined up, and Ry Cooder opened with a solo performance.
