Agency here seems almost like an ad hominem, invoked so that it can be easily dismissed, as it is obviously compatible with liberal notions about individuality, self-determination, decision-making, etc. But what's really being discussed, the relevant "opposition," is subjectivity/subjection/subjectivation, which both erase liberal tenets about will and show how workers' working works for capitalism. Unlike agency, subjectivity doesn't disappear.
