Political science, I believe. Her "Barbershops, Bibles, and BET: Everyday Talk in Black Thought" was a tough read, but rewarding. I was particularly impressed by the two-stage process she used to link conversation to ideology (chapters 3 & 4). The ethnographic chapter is good, too.
