Below is a piece by Hartmann that is your basic run of the mill economic
nationalist position.  The idea that globalization is destroying the
manufacturing base of the US and Europe and with it bringing declining wages
and social spending cuts by states is expressed as a process that can be
arrested by 'bringing manufacturing back home'.  The only other option is a
return to feudalism, Hartmann claims.
