I can't read carefully more that 10 or so posts a day. So for the most
part I take a quick look and pass on. My eyes have gotten worse lately.
And I apologize in advance for any gross misconsdtruals of anyone's
post. In the present case I just wanted an expansion of the initials.
For years I have had trouble rememberin initials and proper names. Names
I can google or grab a book off the books shelf and check the title
page. (Actually, it's retrieval rathe than memory: I can remember the
contens, the color of the binding, the size of the book, and even the
biograhy of the author, and sometimes I can't retrieve the name (in one
case years go, which alerted me to the problem, it was an author I had
taught many times. I could een quote some his stuff but had to look at
an anthology toretrive his name.

Now of course it's complicated by eyesight.
