But the goalS are very precise. Stop a particular execution. Free
prescriptions. Decrinalize drugs. Stop the war! Living Wage. Free bus
service. Clean toilets in the Subways. Stop Auto Traffic in Manhattan.
Fire the Chief of Police. All police patrols on foot. Disarm campus
cops. Free tuitoin. You can't even predict in advance the particular
goals that will have people occupying buildings or taking to the
streets. The goal of Socialism emerges in_some_ but not all of such
movements. 

I'm mildly amused by the heroic human resistance to  acknolwledging
complexity and contingncy.
