Yep, the Party of Thieving-in-general is going to get clobbered by the Party of Thieves. Of course, after the $14 trillion bailout of Wall Street and the usual $1 trillion pissed away on a useless and parasitic war machine, there really isn't much Government property left to steal, is there.
But this is not the time to be gloomy. This November, all the neoliberal chickens will be coming home to roost, all at once: the colonization of Afghanistan will fall apart, the rumbling sounds coming from the BRIC central banks will rise to a dull roar, Euroliberalism has hoist itself by the petard of its own internal periphery, and US consumers are going to realize that the 35-year credit bubble has broken down for good. A small part of their anger will be channeled at the Democruds, true, but that anger is something to work with.
