Those contexts always involve a high level of abstraction. The more particular the context, the more important the agents invovled become for analysis. The leadership of the DP -- governors, aldermen in certain cities, House & Senate members, Union leadership, represent a pretty limited context. But it is absurd, on the other hand, to try to argue in terms of what the context will be and the kind of agents invlved in the next surge of the left around the globe.
