Yeah, but Carrol sent that e-mail nearly three hours after mine. Perhaps I can fairly claim some credit for his shift away from grand pronouncements that make no attempt to justify themselves? (In fairness to him, I don't this example is the first time he's provided some basis for his opinions - just nearly so.)
