"Households with children had a "food hardship" rate of 24.1 percent for 2009 compared with 14.9 percent among households without children. Twenty states had rates of 20 percent or higher."

From: US Households Struggle to Afford Food: Survey http://www.commondreams.org/headline/2010/01/26-12

With unemployment at least at 15% by any real measurement, and almost a quarter of households with children not being able to afford enough food, and the DP moving right, there has never been a better time to attack the DP by building something to the left of it. WTF are we waiting for?
