I think the question is wrong, and for reasons similar to why questions about revolutionary scenarios or pictures of scoialism are wrong: they involve the claim that someone does possess a crystal ball. Socialism will answer to the activity of those who find themselves in a non-capitalist environment, not accordint to any recipe we presume to write. The question of information within a capitalist economy will be answered in practice by the activity of capitalists. If they don't solve the "problem" of how to pay for journalism, we will learn to get along without it. If they don't solve how we pay for popular music, there either won't be any popular music or it will be cmposed for and presented to a local audience as it alwyas has been up to the last century or so.
