Hejoined the CP at the age of 18 -- and was at that time the _only_ CP membeer in Mineapois. Through a long and cold winter he sold the Daily Worker every day at the same corner. Of course no one paused to buy under those condiutions.
But when the first warm days of spring came, regulars at that corner remembered the young man who had braved the cold that consistently all winter, many bought the paper, and thus the first CP local group in Minneapois was formed.
