[lbo-talk] Terry Bisson makes a passing comment about Pacifica Doug will appreciate

Terry Bisson (whose "Fire on the Mountain" I consider the greatest
alternate world Science Fiction story ever written) has a very fun
read out "The Left Left Behind" with PM press. It is a satire on the
"Left Behind" series  the world becomes a much better place without
the people who are raptured.   So this is how the rapture  is reported
on Pacifica in this light hearted fantasy: ".. without the heads of
state. The new Secretary General of the United Nations, Vlad,  has
declared a new World Government. And now for ten hours of
uninterrupted harmonica music played by chimpanzees".
