On my way out, but briefly: inside government (junior partner of coalition)
would be the Italian leftists with the first Prodi government. Outside
government would be their previous status as an opposition party. And I
mention that a lot of the ideas were derived from the book I linked to and
yes, it's more or less a 2nd internationalist strategy without the implicit
nationalism. I thought that was the least confusing point. The rest of your
misinterpretations, I largely fault myself for and I'll clarify later.
