Posit any neurological premises of human behavior you like. If you want to provide compelling scientific evidence that your premises are correct, you'll need to do better than correlational research. And to be clear: using neuroimaging technology to demonstrate that people with neuroanatomical feature X tend to do Y is correlational research.
