Thanks. They didn't have exactly what I needed, but by combining two tables they *did* have, I came up with the following quick-and-dirty expenditures by institutions per student in constant current dollars, assuming I read the tables right and didn't botch the spreadsheet entries, a very big 'if':

1969 14,733 1970 14,517 1971 14,694 1972 15,003 1973 14,523 1974 14,016 1975 13,277 1976 13,953 1977 13,768 1978 13,921 1979 13,414 1980 12,940 1981 12,790 1982 13,181 1983 13,682 1984 14,707 1985 15,494 1986 16,099 1987 16,288 1988 16,574 1989 16,583 1990 16,712 1991 16,662 1992 16,942 1993 17,546 1994 18,036 1995 18,301 1996 18,536 1997 18,850 1998 19,441 1999 20,019 2000 20,546 2001 20,938 2002 21,196 2003 21,308 2004 21,421 2005 21,510 2006 21,930 2007 22,358 2008 23,407
