[Michael Perelman]

In Berkeley in the 60s, he was nattily dressed with a sport coat and white 
shirt.  He always managed to speak at every rally telling people that 
today's demonstration would determine everything.  People would go out, get 
arrested, get hurt, then a couple of days later would give the same spiel.

That behavior must have deventually turned off hundreds of potential 
radicals.
