On the other hand, we can be fairly confident that without the
Bolshevik seizure of the Russian state there wouldn't have been
fascism, the Holocaust, the famines of the Great Leap Forward, or most
of the Third World military dictatorships which emerged partly in
reaction to the left.

CB: Didn't colonialism and slavery, WWI, and the many previous Chinese
famines show that capitalism and feudalism were perfectly capable of
killing and oppressing tens of millions of workers and darker races
without the "threat" of Bolshevism ?
