Oh yes. NLR has published a lot of great stuff, Verso's a terrific publishing house, and we'd be a lot worse off without the whole formation. But, as one of their more prominent authors put it about a decade ago, he runs the operation like an absentee landlord - while pretending to be some sort of socialist collective.
