CB: I thought the Enlightenment/Reformation was a reflection in
superstructure of the revolution in base/infrastructure, i.e. the
bourgeois revolution overthrowing the feudal mode of production in
Europe.

'Cause, you know, the written history of all hitherto existing society
is a history of class struggles , not Big Men, with Big Ideas.
