One consequence of the growth of the adjunct faculty workforce is that 
more and more of the profs who score tenure-track positions worked as 
adjuncts, and they know exactly how poor the working conditions and pay 
are.  We're likely to see more tenure-track profs working with adjuncts 
to improve things for the adjuncts.  I know that's happening where I work.
