It is instructive to compare the media coverage of Thai protests with that of Iranian protests. It seems that what is going on in Thailand is essentially a non-event, whereas in Iran it was bloody murder bordering on crimes against humanity. But then Thailand is a nice capitalist kingdom friendly to Western investors and sex tourists, whereas Iran ....

So much for the objectivity of even the most reputable Western media.
