Agents actually have a phrase, "Nicholas Cage Syndrome," referring to an
actor who lucks into an academy award and it does absolutely nothing for his
or her career, and virtually all his or her subsequent films stink.
"Raising Arizona" doesn't count in the Cage Canon, because it's the Coens
and they could draw a great performance out of a mannequin.
