Thanks for your response, but I think I'm Ok in this case:
This situation is this: George Balanchine commissions a work from Iannis Xenakis in 1968, and Xenakis sends him estimates for electronic equipment and fees that are in FF. So the NYC Ballet would have spent dollars converted into FF to pay for all this.
What I'm interested in is the Ballet's expense in current dollars, not the present value of the equipment sale and services rendered to folks living in France.
