We do not know and there is no way for us to know. It will involve and
effort to abolish wages, and whether it ever succeeds in that will determine
whether our descendants have been able to answer W's question in practice.
(All theoretical des riptions of it violate Mao's injunction, "Marxists have
no crystal ball."
