^^^^ CB: Sure. On the other hand, for example, the French health care system is not an illusion, and we can refer to it to, saying, "look, universal health care is viable".

What do you think about my idea that it is our job as (mostly) Americans to criticize "our" capitalism first ?

I'm not talking about Marxists who think conditions in Europe are only better by degrees; I am talking about things like that awful article that pretends that Europe is a workers paradise or that German unions are "strong".

It's all about internationalism: when some of the dimmer Antifas in Germany fly American flags at Anti-Nazi demos, one has to point out that Vietnam was massacred under that flag.

^^^^^ CB: And it was the Red Army that inflicted most of the casualties on the German Army in WWII. Should have flown Soviet flags.

Are you familiar with the expression "the grass is always greener on the other side" ? (smile)
